I Am What I Am

I am what I am

A young male coming from the cold Mexican streets

Where getting beat up is ok

And it’s hard to find someone who cares

I am what I am

The one who took the trip from Mexico to U.S. hard

But with time got used to

And learned to love his new home

I am what I am

The one who takes his sweet time

He distracts everybody

And his teachers are always on for not doing what he’s suppose to

I am what I am

The one kid who can’t stay still

If u look around he won’t be in his seat

He’ll be wondering around the whole class

I am what I am

The shy guy that turns into

The one who can’t stop talking once he finds his comfortable zone

I am what I am

The turtle in the class when it comes to work

No matter how hard he tries

He’ll get distracted and never finish

I am what I am

As proud as his family

I won’t change for anybody or any reason

And won’t forget where I came from.
