If I were a poem

If I were a poem I would soar to the highest point in the sky
I would travel towards the stars and across the moon
I would travel across the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific
Then travel from the Antarctic to the Artic hemisphere
Until all around the world; my words were read

Words expressing my every thought
Words of fearlessly fires that lie inside me
Speak of the love as deep as the ocean
that I have for those close to me
Words of sorrow, joy or even faith

To tell a story of how I’ve grown as a person
The things I’ve learned
The mistakes I’ve done
Speak of the effects some people
have made in my life

If I were a poem those who read me would have a potent effect
I would be the most beautiful melody
they have ever heard
