If I were a poem
I would love to be traveling
into everyone's soul.
For my words to
translate into each and
every mind that read me
and to inspire them.
Inspire them to grow
and fly and be free
like a canary.
To let their thoughts
come out and be heard
by the universe.
If I were a poem
I'd search for a
better tomorrow.
A tomorrow that
would not bring any tears
to anybody's eyes, but
that would bring a
smile to everyone's face.
If I were a poem
I wouldn't correct
my mistakes.
I would leave them
there so people could
see that not even
the most beautiful
of things are
perfect.
If I were a poem
everyone that read me
would leave with
an understanding
of love and respect.
